Snabblescrew's (LIVE) Snapshots

(For hilarity sake I'm including an unedited version of Onatam's interview at the bottom.)

Snabblescrew: Greetings Mistreavers! This evening we're speaking with Korouk, leader of the Mistreavers guild. Very exciting. Thank you for coming, Korouk... can I call you Korouk? It's very brave of you being here under the circumstances.

Korouk: There are no circumstances, Snabblescrew. You're crafting smoke and mirrors about this 'racial feud'. I went to your stupid auction to show no hostility. Now drop the matter or I'll drop you! ...and refer to me as Warlord. You're a soldier of my unit.

Snabblescrew: uh, ooookay, Warlord. I don't know what you're on about with racial wars and slave auctions, us goblins have nothing but love for the Tauren people. We've always found your race, overall anyway, to be peaceful, caring, /charitable/, and polite.

Snabblescrew looking at the audience: no Warlord, I was referring to the accusations issued by your second in command.

Korouk: What the hell are you talking about? What accusations?

Snabblescrew: Let me check the transcript. *Sound of shuffling paper* Ah, here it is... Elder Onatam says, and I quote, "As for Tacitah, it would seem that someone convinced Karnig that this assault was a sactified mission. I have my suspicions as to who might have been behind this attack but I do not think it fair to assume I am correct in this matter." When I pressed him further he said... again I quote, "Korouk is the next in the chain of command for the Syndicate and the whole Mistreaver organization. He would be behind this. If he wanted to discipline one of our members it would most likely be done in public."

Snabblescrew: So, Warlord... how do you respond to the Elder's accusation?

Korouk: What the hell is this? You think I'd hire Karnig to muck up an elf? If I need to discipline a member of the Reavers it will be with my own fist, goblin! The Elder is out of line with these accusations. Or you're just making them up to get a rile out of me. If I find its the latter I'll break you, Snabble. I've had enough of your slander. Let me see those 'quotes' you're reading off...

Snabblescrew, clutching the papers to her chest and leaning back from Korouk: No, I assure you, those are his words. He even said, "Karnig would not do something like this without a direct order." So, trouble in paradise Warlord? Mutiny on the horizon? Should he be hanged for treason? Will there be a trial or will you have him beaten without due process like you did with Tacitah?

Korouk: I had ~nothing~ to do with Tacitah, goblin! She probably said a select few words around Karnig that set him off. Or perhaps your own kin did it. He's apart of your damned Green-Ops. I do not play my own against each other, and if I have a problem, I direct it with them and them alone. Enough with your lies! I will speak to the Elder about all of this. And you.

Snabblescrew shaking her head with sad sympathy: I understand Warlord. I'd be embarassed too being confronted about something like this in front of a live audience. Especially after trusting the Elder with everything... I mean, he's the guy who's suppose to have your back and the moment he is confronted he throws you to the proverbial wolves! A shame really. So hard to find good help these days.

Korouk: I'm calling you and him to meet with me. And stop talking, goblin. It's a venom. I'll speak with Karnig too, and find out what really happened. Damnit!

Snabblescrew looks down at her wrist, which does not have a timepiece on it: huh, well that's all the time we have for today. Thank you again, Warlord, for taking the time to come talk to us. I'll see if I can make time in my busy schedule for that talk. You don't mind if I bring my recording device do you? nevermind, we'll talk about it later! *hurries off stage*

(( Here's Onatam's ))

Greetings Mistreavers, welcome to another edition of Snabblescrew's (LIVE) Snapshots. This evening we're talking to Elder Onatam Bloodtotem, leader of the Misthoof Tribe within Mistreavers.

Snabblescrew: Thank you for joining me this evening Elder! I've heard many alarming rumours about recent activities and it's a delight to have you here to help clear things up.

Onatam: Indeed, especially since I am the center of a number of these rumours.

Snabblescrew; Elder? YOU ordered the attack on Tacitah? How could you?!

Onatam: *Sighs heavily* No, I did not order the attack on Tacitah. Despite my personal opinion about her character, she remains a member of the Mistreavers and I would not condone the savage beating she recieved. I was speaking more on other older rumors about me. Namely the idea of me being a drunkard which is, I might add, completely false.

Snabblescrew: so wait, you were SOBER when you got in that windrider accident?

Onatam: It is one thing to be drunk and another to be drunk all of the time. If being drunk once is what makes a drunkard, then nearly all of the Mistreavers fall into that category.

Snabblescrew to audience: you heard it here first folks, and I quote, "all of the Mistreavers fall into that category".
Snabblescrew to Onatam: but we're here to discuss tacitah's brutal beating at the hands of everyone's favorite mook, Karnig. What do you have to say about it, Elder?

Onatam's eye twitches.
Onatam: Be careful how you decide to quote me Snabble. Using what I say out of context may not be very wise. As for Tacitah, it would seem that someone convinced him that this assault was a sactified mission. I have my suspicions as to who might have been behind this attack but I do not think it fair to assume I am correct in this matter.

Snabblescrew: so dish! Who do you /believe/ it was?

Onatam: I suspect the Green Ops were somehow involved with the attack, mostly because Karnig is a part of the Green Ops and would not do something like this without a direct order.

Snabblescrew: but I'm part of the green ops! I would know if we were responsible! Who else would Karnig accepts orders from? Who has more authority than the leader of the green ops? What's the chain of command?

Onatam: Weedin is the leader of the Green Ops, I am sure you know and Popwhistle is the leader of the Syndicate. If Karnig was placed under the command of someone within the Green Ops though I would not know.

Snabblescrew; as the former heartee of the We <3 Whomever fan club I am certain of Weedin's innocence. Popwhistle wouldn't order Karnig to beat someone, she's arrange for a fireball to land on the person. So, who has more authority than Lady Blackstone? Who is next in the chain of command?

Onatam: Korouk is the next in the chain of command for the Syndicate and the whole Mistreaver organization. However I highly doubt he would be behind this. If he wanted to discipline one of our members it would most likely be done in public, not some alley.

Snabblescrew: I... wow. You know, Elder, I'm not even sure what to say about this. Maybe we should move on to another topic. How do you feel about cake?

Onatam looks confused: What does cake have to do with anything?

Snabblescrew: Cake has plenty to do with many things, but mostly it's a distraction. Thank you so much for being here, Elder, this interview has been very informative!

Mad Cows Take On Defenseless Victim

This photo journal is created for my goblin mage. Many of the references made in these entries are things only guild members or those who RP with the group would get. My apologies!
In particular, this time around, the article is inspired by this thread on the Wyrmrest Accord realm forums.

Today was bright and cheery and the birds sang beautifully, but there was nothing lovely or serene in Thunder Bluff. Angry bulls and mad cows stampeded an innocent victim off the zeppelin platform this afternoon. The victim, a respected member of the Mistreavers guild, plummeted hundreds of feet to the meadow below sustaining catastrophic injuries and third degree hemorrhagic bleeding to her internal phlemspigot, which resulted in the need for immediate emergency surgery and the removal of her strobili. The fall was also ill fated for the local Kodo herd who tragically lost their newest calf when the victim landed on him.

On hand for emergency first aid was Dr. Tzichell Fetch, a renown physician of outmatched skill and compassion, in his own words, "had the calf not died, the goblin would have. While it is sad the herd is down a child, the Tauren have no one else to blame but themselves!"

Korouk, the Warlord of Mistreavers and a Tauren himself, made himself unavailable for comment.

Perhaps the saddest part of this is that the Society for the Protection of Innocent Tauren will no longer be receiving their sizable donation from the Mistreaver's charitable event. This evening a gathering was to be held to auction off willing participants for "dates". Aside from aiding the socially spurned by providing them with an opportunity to buy companionship (if only for 30 minute stretches of time), the event was also being run solely to generate much needed funds for S.P.I.T.

Mistreavers paid out of pocket to purchase legitimate permits to hold a gathering in the center rise of Thunder Bluff. The guild was then forced to pay for relocation and last minute changes to advertising. The result is near bankruptcy. Clearly the Tauren people care more for an evening of quiet meditation than they do for a charity geared to aiding baby animals like the poor kodo calf who died in this whole debacle.

This evening's Date Auction will now be held in Ratchet, an upstanding Goblin town, at the gallows on the edge of town. The gallows is symbolic of the persecution the Mistreavers Goblins sustained at the hands of the Tauren of Thunder Bluff.

Tragedy in the Deeps

This photo journal is created for my goblin mage. Many of the references made in these entries are things only guild members or those who RP with the group would get. My apologies! Also, this issue's snapshot was taken from a laptop and is not the stellar quality you are use to seeing from Snabblescrew's Snapshots!

It is with a heavy heart that I am reporting in today with a story of the esteemed Lord Blackstone, leader of the Syndicate of Mistreavers.

At zero nine hundred and thirty-two Sir Merantalmai Boldrunner, Lord Blackstone, succumbed to a curse that rendered him deformed into the depraved shape of a naga battlemaiden. It is not clear if there is a cure for his condition.

Sir Talmai is still able to communicate, with his own voice, with the Mistreavers and rules the Syndicate from the deeps. He is doing what he can to keep himself amused while confined to his watery prison. Sir Talmai's Seneschal was unavailable for comment (not surprising... that woman is no good for Sir Talmai!).

Maybe the most important fact of this event is that Sir Talmai gave himself to protect the very person who cursed him! Enduring alterations that allowed him to swim and breathe in the underwater environment and taking on tasks better suited to fish and shaman, his thanks was a transformation curse!

Wavespeaker Tulra of the Earthen Ring must be brought to justice. She cannot be permitted to continue to abuse the power granted her by the Earthen Ring. How dare she torment and transform the very people she enlists to aid in the cause!?

Donations to help Lord Blackstone with his unexpected expenses and to aid him in remaining comfortable during his time of need can be sent care of Snabblescrew. (No refunds or tax receipts. Minimum donation of 5g in order to cover administration and processing fees.)

Elder Onatam... has a problem

This photo journal is created for my goblin mage. Many of the references made in these entries are things only guild members or those who RP with the group would get. My apologies!

There's no delicate way to put this. Elder Onatam Bloodtotem, leader of the Mistreavers Tribal sect, the tauren chosen to lead the Mistreavers spiritually... is a raging bull with a drinking problem.

It pains me to report that Elder Onatam was seen (by a very reliable source who just happened to have a goblin snapshot taking device) causing a scene at reputable Orgrimmar drinking establishment. See the shock and dismay on the owner's face as Elder Onatam uses his poor defenseless tawny windrider to deface her property? I cannot blame the orc for not standing up to him. Heavily armed, unpredictable and under the influence?!

Days have gone by and I have yet to hear about Elder Onatam apologizing to the poor orcish woman. Perhaps he was so drunk he doesn't remember. If it wasn't for fine, upstanding, humanoids like Dr. Fetch, I doubt the Mistreavers could even be considered redeemable!

Remember, it's up to all of us to report on the news. If you have a snapshot you would like to share, or know of a story I should be covering, contact me directly or by mail. ((No really... in game mail to Snabblescrew! I'll tell you there where you can email a screenshot to be featured!))

The Illustrious Dr. Fetch

This photo journal is created for my goblin mage. Many of the references made in these entries are things only guild members or those who RP with the group would get. My apologies!

Dr. Tzichell Fetch is a brilliant mind. An (undead) man well beyond his peers in the scientific community. Entirely misunderstood.

I had the distinct pleasure of observing Dr. Fetch in action this past week. His laboratory is something else to behold (don't mind the Argent Crusader on the table, it's not a real gnome, just a prop) and not at all what I was expecting. To hear the Mistreavers talk about Dr. Fetch I was expecting a monster who tortures kittens*.

Dr. Fetch performs community service in the form of a free clinic for those who have fallen on hard times during this cataclysm. He takes the time to teach OSL (Orcish as a Second Language) to the Goblins of Bildgewater Cartel. And most recently Dr. Fetch has opened an animal shelter for abused and abandoned equines.

As you can see, Dr. Fetch is not the monster the Mistreavers have claimed he is. I can only assume it is a misplaced sense of jealousy on the part of the other scientists in the Mistreavers. There is nothing to be jealous of, however, a man with such a mind but with so much compassion is hardly a figure that deserves to be treated with such derision.

Next time you hear an unkind word from one of the Mistreavers, please speak up about the hatred. Let them know you won't tolerate hate speech in your presence!

* Dr. Fetch assured me the kittens are his pets and are not tortured or otherwise experimented on by him. He was not willing to vouch for his lab assistants though.

Tragic Loss in Durotar

This photo journal is created for my goblin mage. Many of the references made in these entries are things only guild members or those who RP with the group would get. My apologies!

Snabblescrew reporting here. I'd like you to meet Misha Tor'kren. Misha lives in Durotar southeast of Orgrimmar and toils away to keep herself alive by maintaining a small herd of swine. This is not an easy task on the unforgiving hard packed soil of Durotar.

Misha is alone. She raised three children alone. She tends her ranch alone. And she grieves alone. Oh sure, Misha has family... her brother-in-law Negragh and his adopted daughter Bryndis live and work in Orgrimmar as bankers. Two of her sons, Karnig and Tausik, work for the Mistreavers... oh yes, the Mistreavers again.

But today Misha is even more alone, for today marks a year ago that her youngest son, Kron, went missing... presumed dead. Misha hides her grief as best she can as she toils away on a token of her love to place on his gravesite, a grave that lacks any actual body. Her gnarled fingers tremble with effort as she works each of the crocolisk teeth brought to her by adventurers into a necklace fit for "only the bravest young orcs".

A mother will have her bias I suppose... but let's look at how wonderful Misha's children really are! Kron, the little hothead, refused to heed his mother's warning that the fierce crocolisks of the Southfury River were too much for him. Without even saying a proper farewell he stormed off to get himself killed, leaving his mother without even the closure of a corpse to bury.

And then there's the twins, Karnig and Tausik, who... knowing their mother grieved for the loss of their younger brother, STILL didn't come home to console her. Instead they are off pretending to be warriors with the Mistreavers, who encourage this deviant behavior! Neither boy even bothers to send a note with scribbled green crayon or a few copper pieces to remind their mother that they appreciate her efforts in raising them as a single mother in a Man's World.

I blame Talmai Boldrunner, he's the Syndicate leader for Mistreavers and is directly responsible for Karnig Tor'kren... who is obviously the brains between the Tor'kren Twins. Everyone should petition Talmai to pay compensation to poor Misha for the years she has lost due to his cold heartedness.

If he doesn't listen, and I doubt he will, go over his head and speak to the leader of the Mistreavers... Korouk! Let his inbox be filled with your petitions!

Author's Note: Karnig and Tausik are characters played by me and my husband (both hunters). Negragh is my "bank alt" and Bryndis is a friend's "bank alt". All these characters have used Misha and Kron as part of their backstory. Yes, we even made backstories for our bank alts. We're THAT nerdy.

Self-Sacrifice gone too far...

This photo journal is created for my goblin mage. Many of the references made in these entries are things only guild members or those who RP with the group would get. My apologies!

Snabblescrew here, reporting on that Elder Onatam again. He'd like you to believe he's all about protecting the little guy, self sacrifice and honor. But I know he's full of it.

Sure, there's protecting the innocent... but this is protecting the lazy! When the self sacrifice involves protecting Kaikura... I know it's an act!

Just look at this picture, there's Onatam, mid-jump, throwing himself on the body of Kaikura as Sindragosa walks by. Look how the troll is practically curled into the fetal position. What a sham!

Just more proof that the Mistreavers (except the Green Ops of course), are not what they seem!

Arming the Masses

This photo journal is created for my goblin mage. Many of the references made in these entries are things only guild members or those who RP with the group would get. My apologies!

Desperate times call for desperate measures... and it would appear that the Mistreavers are desperate. I can neither confirm nor deny that the Mistreavers are behind the arming of gentle wildlife creatures in Mulgore, but my gut tells me it's the work of the nefarious Korouk. Afterall, Korouk is from Mulgore and he's got anger management issues, it all makes sense!

Unfortunately (for Mistreavers) the plan backfired! Instead of fighting for us, the groundhogs, mice and rabbits started fighting amongst themselves! Perhaps Korouk's sense of vengeance rubbed off on the critters and drove them into a turf war (haha, turf... get it?).

Just look at that innocent face! Whatever his intentions, the results are clear... Mistreavers, specifically their leader, Korouk, are responsible for the massive loss of innocence in Mulgore! Shame on you... er, us!

OOC Note: These are NOT edited photos, other than adding text. These creatures really exist in the game.

Scandal: Elder Shaman Uses Powers for... snooze?

This photo journal is created for my goblin mage. Many of the references made in these entries are things only guild members or those who RP with the group would get. My apologies!

Snabblescrew reporting here, on an esteemed member of the Mistreavers. Not that I have anything negative to say about the Reavers as a whole, but I've heard things, and some of those things aren't nice. Take Elder Onatam here, nice fellow right? Yeah, huh. Look at him here, abusing his dealings with the elementals to get a snooze in a more comfortable position! Are the hammocks in Orgrimmar so uncomfortable? WWKS, What Would Korouk Say? I'll tell you what that lazy git Kaikura would say... "well done Elder!"

Not a good sign!
